It is a fact of history that five days were dropped out of the calendar during the gospel age, but that had nothing whatever to do with the weekly cycle of seven days. It was not disrupted or changed any more than the adding of a day four years at leap year. Once in four years, for more than a thousand years, one day is added making February 29 days, but this does not affect the weekly cycle, and it did not at that time. The weekly cycle and Sabbath have been preserved from Creation to the present time, through the infinite power and purpose of an all wise Creator.

We are a very ancient people, and have our history from the days of the early church period. We as a people many times were counted with the Jews because of the Sabbath and other points contrary to professed Christianity. Our groups together are known as the Church of God, because we find this name given to the early church 12 times in the New Testament. We are independent of any other sect or denomination but represent the ancient primitive faith, and have returned here with the Jews.
We believe that each local church is its own sovereign, and when properly set in order with ordained Elders it represents within itself the highest spiritual authority on earth and is not subject to orders or coercion from anyone.

He very plainly spoke of this matter in the parables of Matt. 25th chapter. We are all His servants, and most of His professed followers, never pray for Him to send them His Holy Spirit (Luke 11: 11-13), consequently their lives are void of Spiritual power, and their minds are absorbed in worldly gain, which does not bring to them peace, contentment or happiness.
Millions today profess to be Servants of the Master, but their whole life is buried up in worldly possessions and in the things of this world. Not even the tenth which He requires is used for His glory. These are slothful and unprofitable servants. Like the foolish virgins who say, “He delays His coming,” they will be cast away. ― Matt. 25:10-12, 30.

This is very simple and clear to all who have been awakened on the subject, as you have been, and made investigation. The whole world keeping Sunday stems from the warning and pre-announcement given to us in the last book of the Bible, Revelations, Chapter 17. Here we have pictured a fallen woman symbolizing a church that would ride the beast, which the Bible makes clear is the Roman Empire. The rider, the church, had universal world rule, and made all nations drunk with the “wine of Babylon”. Please read it.
Sunday keeping, and sprinkling for baptism had their birth at Rome, and the whole world was taught both of these false practices, because they would not have any religion in common with the Jews. The Jews observed the Bible Sabbath which is the 7th day of the week. ―Genesis 2:1, 2; Exodus 20:8-11, also 31:15-18; Luke 4: 14-21; Hebrew the 4th chapter; James 2: 10, 11; and IJohn 1:4 and 3:4; also 5:3; Revelation 12:17, and 22: 14. The 7th day Sabbath is one of these Commandments.
In the Catholic Encyclopedia it says the church declared the sanctity of Sunday because they did not want a day in common with the Jews. Rome was at war with Jerusalem and Judah. They finally won the war and destroyed Jerusalem in 70 A.D.It was hate against the Jews that gave birth to both of these unscriptural doctrines. Isaiah pre-announced that this veil or covering spread upon all nations would be destroyed in Mt. Zion and Jerusalem. This work is now beginning. See Isaiah 25:6, 7.

There is not enough difference between any of these groups to keep them separate, and they should all treat each other as brothers and sisters, for the Creator is their Father and they are of the same family. They should all fellowship together, as one big group.

There are no Jewish names that I know of. As the Jews in general are Bible minded, they naturally have taken mostly Bible names for their children. These names are therefore Bible names, and why not follow this excellent example and also select Bible names for our children.

The clean and the unclean meats laid down in the Bible is for man’s own good. All meats declared as unclean are health-destroying and life-shortening. This is a proven fact, tested many times. Those meats are forbidden. Then, when a person refuses to obey, and covets and purchases these forbidden meats with the intention of eating them; this disobedient act proceeds from the heart. It is not the actual eating that defiles.

When Eve ate the forbidden fruit she was defiled before she reached the forbidden tree; and even before she plucked the fruit. Her sin proceeded from the heart. Many drunkards use this same scripture for an excuse in drinking liquor. This however produces wrong thoughts in the drinker, and acts of sin.

This is a very good question, and one that people living close to a public library might find pleasure in studying. It is directly from the angel Gabriel and therefore we can depend on it as true. The only trouble is that historians differ as to when this important date occurred to which this prophecy is anchored.

We find it is in Daniel 12: 10 to 13 that the wicked will not understand this prophecy, but that the wise shall. Surely you, dear reader, are not wicked. Therefore you must be of the wise who understand this prophecy.

My father Elder A. F. Dugger Sr. figured this prophecy by adding 622, the date of the Mohammedan Hegira, to the 1290 days or years, and wrote in his Bible which he gave to me, that the World War would begin in 1912 to 1914. The First World War began in the Balkan countries in the year 1912, and there has been no peace in this world since, spreading to a World War in 1914.

Gabriel said: “From the time the daily sacrifice is taken away and the abomination that maketh desolate is set up, there shall be a thousand, two hundred and ninety days”. Ezek. 4: 4 and 6, tells us to take a day for a year. The Mohammedans (Arabs) began their era in the year 622, withthe Hegira. This was when the Mohammedan religion was set up. They have their Lunar calendars all over the Arab world which date from 622.

This is a fixed date with which all historians agree. The other date, however, is not so: “When the daily sacrifice was taken away”. This is when the Jews were forced to discontinue offering the blood offerings here at Jerusalem. They returned here in great numbers following the Roman invasion of 70 A.D. “Sales’ History of Mohammedanism” in about thirty volumes, gives this history. They killed the daily morning and evening sacrifice until the Moslems captured Jerusalem. This is a date of confusion, because historians so widely differ. When did it cease? This will give us the final period.

My old “Myers’ General History” says it was in 632 A.D. or common era as they call it here. Note ― The final number 1335 in verse 12 which reaches on to the time when “Daniel will stand in his lot.” That is, he will be resurrected. Adding this to 632, it brings us to 1967. But some historians say it was 635 A.D. and some say 637 A.D., Jerusalem was captured, and the daily sacrifice ended. Which is correct? Time will tell. We are very near the resurrection, and when it comes, then we will know which historian gave the correct date, for this prophecy is true. It will be interesting to search for this proper date. Perhaps some of you may find the right one.

It is SIN that destroys people. “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6: 12. In the Old Testament time there was a certain law written by the finger of God, on two tables of stones. Exodus 31: 18, also 32: 15, 16; Deut. 10:4. If any person broke one of these Ten Commandments the offender was taken out of the camp and stoned to death. It did not make any difference which commandment, the “wages” of this sin was death, for the breaking of any one of them.

There was a provision made, however, that the guilty person could bring a lamb to the priest and have it killed in his place, then he would go free, but he would not be free to commit the same offence again. There was also a provision made for the person who was too poor to afford a lamb; he could bring two turtle doves (Lev. 5:7), but the offense was so great in breaking this law that something had to die. A life was sacrificed. Either the sinner, or the most innocent of animals, or birds, was slain. This is the “Law of Pardon,” which Paul says: “Was added because of transgression until the seed (Christ) should come.” Gal. 3: 19. This positively was not the law of the Ten Commandments, but the Law of Pardon. If Paul’s writings, which Peter says are hard to be understood, are wrested or twisted in such a manner as to cause people to lightly regard the Ten Commandments, and transgress them, it means destruction to that person. Sin is what destroys people, and we also read in the New Testament that, “Sin is the transgression of the law.” 1 John 3:4, and James 2:10, 16. Now, dear reader, let us pay heed to the Spirit’s warning through Peter, and “rightly divide” Paul’s writings, for many unlearned and unstable teachers are at this time wresting them to the destruction of thousands of people.

This statement is in the same chapter, and just a few verses following the text by Paul quoted above. Paul says this law was “added because of transgression.” It is, therefore, this same added law that brought us to Christ, compared to the school-master. It is not the Ten Commandments spoken of here. Note carefully that this Law was added because of something. What was it? It was “added because of transgression.” Consequently there was something transgressed before no this law came. Paul says,“Where there is no law, there is no transgression.” Rom. 4: 15. Hence, in order to be transgression there had to be a law to transgress. This was the Ten Commandment law. It fits in with the story perfectly. Then the Pardon Law, the school-master, or the added law, with the lamb a type of Christ, brought the offender to justification, and freedom. He was let go and not stoned, but he had no license to repeat the offence. He was under the grace or favor of God, through the blood of the offering, just the same as we are now delivered from the penalty of the law, by the blood of Christ, and are under grace, and no longer under the condemnation of the Ten Commandment law.

Anyone who believes the Bible must believe in the gift of tongues, for it is clearly taught in the Scriptures, and is one of the gifts of the Spirit. ― I Cor. 12: 12.
The Bible says, we are not to forbid the speaking in tongues. (I Cor. 13: 39). We are also told that if anyone speaks in an unknown tongue ― “Let it be by two, and at the most by three, and that by courses,” and if there be no interpreter, let him keep silent. (Verses 27, 28). The Scriptures say also concerning this question: “Tongues are for a sign NOT TO THEM THAT BELIEVE ― BUT TO THEM THAT BELIEVE NOT.” (Verse 22). This is the way the gift of tongues worked on the day of Pentecost. People were there from all nations and when they heard the unlearned fishermen from Galilee, who they knew did not know all of these languages, speaking clearly in their tongue, they knew it was for them and was a miracle sent from heaven. I have seen this happen. When a person speaks a language which we knew he could not ordinarily speak, and someone there knowing that language was converted, because of them. This is the way it worked at Pentecost, and was for the unbeliever.

According to arrangements now made by the time this paper reaches you, Elder A. M. Shoemaker, from here, will be in Nigeria, Africa, and this will make four in foreign lands. They do not receive any salary, but are taken care of by those who they minister to. It is our practice to pay their way there when called and the brethren there keep them and pay their fare on.

They are not promised any certain salary, but with families and wife, and from one to three children, it requires from one hundred and twenty five to one hundred and eighty dollars per month to supply their needs, with the present good rate of exchange for the dollars. Two or three can be supported here for about what one receives in the U.S.

Yes, this is forbidden and those who practise it are disobeying and refusing to “keep the Testimonies of Christ.” ― Rev. 12: 17.
In speaking of Gentiles, Christ says: “Those who are accounted great ones exercise authority over them, but so SHALL IT NOT BE AMONG YOU.” -Mark 10: 42, 43.
Yahshua (Jesus) is still the head of the church. ― Eph. 1: 22, also 4: 15 and 5: 23; Col. 1: 18, and 2: 10, etc., and He is with every one of his ministers and servants to direct all who will fully confide in Him. He says: “Lo I am with you always, even to the end of the world.” ― Matt. 28: 20.

This may seem at first sight to prove the resurrection occurred on the first day of the week, but it does not. This simply tells us when He appeared to Mary. The phrase “was risen” is the past perfect tense of the verb “rise” as any school teacher or grammarian will tell you. It simply shows that sometime indefinite, after He rose He appeared unto Mary. The conjugation of the verb rise is “rise, rose, risen”. The word “risen” used in this text therefore shows that the time of rising was indefinite. If the text had said: “When Jesus arose on the first day of the week”, it would have been a contradiction for not one text can be found that He arose on the first day. He was placed in the tomb on Wednesday evening before sundown, and He was resurrected “in the end of the Sabbath” ― (Matt. 28: 1) ― which was also before sundown, making Him exactly three days and three nights in the earth, proving Him to be the Messiah. ― Matt. 12: 39, 40. ― Send for FREE tract on the “Resurrection”.

The Bible must answer this question, and here it is: “The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of the archangel, and the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. THEN we which are alive and remain will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air.” ― I Thess. 4: 16 and 17.

Before the rapture of the saints, the dead are to be raised. Note the scripture carefully, and you cannot find one to the contrary. Also note that there is some noise going on. Therefore it is not secret. The voice of the archangel, and the trumpet of God will raise the dead. There is also to be a terrible earthquake associated with His coming.

Yes, there were five days dropped out at one time, but according to this record the week was not altered. February the 9th, for instance, was called February 4th. The week was no more changed then than it is now when every four years called “Leap Year” one day is added to February, making 29 days. This does not alter the weekly cycle. According to history the weekly cycle has never been changed. I have an old calendar purchased in England over thirty years ago that goes back to 100 years B.C. which also proves that the week is just the same now as it was when Christ kept the Sabbath day with the Jews, and also all of the Apostles observed the Sabbath according to the Commandment. ― Luke 23: 56.

There are many missionaries here from various church organizations, but most of them keep the days of the sun, handed down through Babylon from the sunworshippers, and I am sorry to say also that most of them take sides with Rome, that Jerusalem should be an international city controlled by the U.N., and not the capital of Israel. They are out of harmony with the Jewish religion that is in harmony with that of Moses, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and clearly taught in the Holy Scriptures, viz., the 7th Day Sabbath, the Law, the Kingdom, the Law of the clean and unclean and the holidays of Israel. How can such a religion, so adverse to that of the Jews, have winning power among them? The Jews are an intelligent race, and want to know the why and wherefore of things especially on religion. There are only a few groups teaching the true Christianity here as it was nearly 2,000 years ago, before being changed and clothed with the Babylonian garments from Babylon through Rome.

We are not trying to convert Jews from the Jewish faith to present day Christianity, with all of its false Babylonish teaching from Rome. The Jews understand and believe more Bible truth than the so-called Christians. Our message is what the apostle Peter preached on that wonderful Pentecost when 3,000 Jews accepted the truth that their Messiah had come, and had been crucified, and resurrected, according to the scriptures. That He is now our great High Priest in Heaven making intercession for sinners before the Father. ― Hebrews 5: 14 to 16; also the 6th and 7th chapter.

That He is soon to return as King of the Jews for which purpose He was born, and that His Kingdom of peace and righteousness will cover the earth. ― Rev. 11 : 15; Isaiah 24: 23; Psalms 2 and also 11 ; Rev. 12: 5 and also 1 Cor. 15: 22 to 28 etc.

We are not finding fault with the Jewish religion and trying to subtract from it but only making one addition as this Apostle taught on the day of Pentecost. This does not make any Jew a Christian, such as the word “Christian” today means and includes, but it does make them better Jews, just as the prophet Ezekiel preannounced for this time. ― Ezekiel 36: 24 to 27.

It is estimated that there are at least 100 thousand of these Messianic Jews now, in Israel.

The Heavenly Father has provided a way for everyone to enter into the very same work. He says: “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust do corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.” ― Matthew 6: 19-20.

READERS having a surplus with which the Father has blessed them should invest it wisely, for winning souls, and thus store it in Heaven. When you send tithes or offerings to Jerusalem it is used in a heavenly place where the beloved Master spent His life, and among His own race: “the Chosen People”.

The Bible is very plain and emphatic about the paying of tithes. It is the divine plan of Heaven for everyone to have a part in the work of the Father here on earth in saving men and women. Note: Leviticus:

The Levites, one of the 12 tribes of Israel, did not receive any inheritance when Canaan was divided, but their portion was the tithe of all the other tribes, because they were the Ministers. ― Numbers 18:21.

Paul speaks of this, and says: “Even so” or in the same way hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the Gospel shall live of the Gospel.” ― 1 Cor. 9: 13 and 14. This positively brings the paying of tithes over into this Gospel dispensation, when its needs are great to carry the message to ALL NATIONS. Then our beloved Master said not to leave tithe paying undone. Matt. 23:23.

The tithe represents a portion of your life, because it is part of your time spent in earning worldly substance. A part of the sweat of your brow by which the Father told Adam to earn his bread. One tenth of your net earnings, is Holy unto the Lord. ―Malachi 3: 8 – 11.

The whole situation is amazingly moving on slowly, but surely, according to the pre-announcement of the Bible prophecies. Israel is to gradually deteriorate in popularity among the nations in preparation for the final drama. Being in the very ending period of Gentile times, this climax is inevitable. Jerusalem will become more and more a burdensome stone and cup of trembling for all nations. (Zech. 12:2, 3). Israel’s power will be further demonstrated by miraculous victories over her enemies, increasing their fear of her, that will bring all nations, with mighty coordinated power, intent on her destruction. (Zech. 14; Joel the 3rd chapter; and Rev. 16:13). All of these prophets pre-announced this Waterloo and tragic end of all Gentile nations, in their fruitless efforts of hate against Israel.

This is a miraculous fulfilment of the prophecy of Isaiah for this time, and we see it fulfilled, by strong religious groups claiming to be Israel. The prophet said, “One shall say I am the Lord’s, and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob, and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the Lord, and surname himself by the name of Israel.” (Isaiah 44:5).

They are thus led to denounce the real Jews as not being of the tribes of Israel, which will finally bring upon them curses instead of blessings. The promise is to the real seed of Abraham; ― “I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curse thee.” ― Genesis 12:13, etc.

All we need to do is just read the Bible and believe what it says to settle this question. Just before Armageddon, when Gentile nations surrounding Jerusalem are destroyed, we are plainly told that the tribe of Judah will be here.

The prophet Joel says: “I will bring again the captivity of JUDAH and JERUSALEM, I will also gather all nations, and bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel whom they have scattered among the nations and parted my lands.” (Joel 3:1, 2). It was the “United Nations” that parted this land, giving part to the Arabs and part to the Jews in 1948.

The prophet Zechariah says: “Behold I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all people roundabout when they shall be in siege both against JUDAH and against Jerusalem.” (Zech. 12:2). Then in the 38th chap. of Ezekiel, the prophet mentions over and over that it is the people of “Israel” here at Jerusalem when Russia comes against them, which is now astonishingly in preparation right before our eyes.

We have a great fear, and pity for all of these poor deceived people who are now, and we fear will be to a greater degree: “fighting against Jerusalem”. Of all who do so it says: “Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes consume away in their holes, and their tongues shall consume away in their mouths.” ― Zechariah 14:12.

It is very probable that some of the leaders will be put to death during this short period mentioned in Rev., as “One Hour”. (Rev. 17:1 – 14). Calculating this time on the basis of one day for a year, one hour would be only about 15 days. In speaking of this very same time Yahshua (Jesus) says in Matt. 24:22: “Except those days be shortened no flesh would be saved, but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

The days got their names because in ancient pagan times each day was sacred to some particular god or goddess. Sunday, first day of the week, meant “the day of the sun” for the old Teutonic peoples. To the Romans, Apollo was the god of the sun. Our picture shows him charging across the heavens in his golden chariot.

The Anglo-Saxon word “monandaeg” meant goddess of the moon; from this, Monday got its name. Tuesday was Tyr’s day, Tyr being the god of war in ancient Norway. Wednesday was sacred to Odin or Wodin, ruler over mythical Valhalla. His two ravens flew around the world every day and brought him the news. Odin’s famous son, Thor, god of thunder and lightning, his name to Thor’s day or Thursday. Frigg, Odin’s wife, gave us Frigg’s day or Friday; she was considered so wise she knew everything. Saturday, last day of the week, comes from the Roman god Saturn, god of the harvest. The Romans had a gay festival in honor of Saturn call a Saturnalia. It lasted seven days, beginning December 17.

The text reads, “The Lord shall set His Hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people … He shall set up an ensign for the nations and assemble the outcasts of Israel and the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.” “The envy also of Ephraim shall depart and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.”

This is definitely a prophecy of our day when the Jews and Israelites of the 10 tribes are being gathered here from the four corners of the earth, and now there is set up an ensign (the Israel flag of David), for the nations. The first gathering of the Jews here was under the decree of Artaxerxes (Ezra 7th chapter), but notice it says, “The Lord shall set His hand AGAIN the second time”, and that is now. He gathered them then only from the Babylonian captivity, scattered to the east and northeast from Jerusalem, but now in this second gathering notice, it says in verse 12, “from the four corners of the earth.” They could not be gathered from all over the earth until they were first scattered all over the earth.

Yahshua (Jesus) said they would be thus scattered.Speaking of the Jews, He said, “They shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations, and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles UNTIL the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” Luke 21:24. Hence in this second gathering, they were to be gathered from the four corners of the earth. They are here now from over eighty four nations, and still coming in by thousands every month.

The flag of Israel, the star of David, is now an ensign for the nations, bringing perplexity and fear, which will increase more and more as the many miracles are repeated here, which are now being made public throughout the world and cannot be doubted.

The Kingdom will be set up when our beloved King Yahshua comes down from heaven. He was born to be King of the Jews, and His coming is very near at hand, even at the door. Praise be to the Almighty for permitting us to live at this wonderful time, and witness the Remnant of Israel returning here. The nation Israel is only the “Vanguard” of the kingdom, that which goes before to prepare the way.

The Jews all over the world, and those coming to Israel never were permitted from children, generation after generation, to hear the word Jesus, or to ever see a New Testament, but have been strictly taught about their coming Messiah as a great conqueror and deliverer. How could they accept Him when He comes as the One who died for their sins on Calvary, when they know nothing about it? All they have known about Christians, is that they are dangerous, and enemies of the Jews. How they have murdered them and killed them by the thousands at different times, including the six million killed by Hitler, backed by Rome. Preparing their hearts,according to the pre-announcement of Ezekiel 36:24 and 25, is the work going on here now, sprinkling the pure water of the WORD upon them. Some of the readers of the Reporter are having a noble part in this work of preparation as thousands of Bible in Hebrew with both Old and New Testaments, and thousands of New Testaments in their own language are being sent out. It is wonderful the hunger now in their hearts for the New Testament. The Sunday mail the week this question is being answered, brought 90 cards and letters in from Israel asking for New Testaments. The Sunday before, there were 202 received, and they keep coming in. All orders are being filled. This great work of preparing hearts for His coming is now going on here. Tens of thousands, especially young people are reading the New Testament in Israel, and thus learning about this great man, Yahshua (Jesus), that He is a Jew, that He shed His blood on Calvary, and by and through the blood of “The Lamb of God” their sins are pardoned. Thus they are being made ready to receive Him as their King and their Saviour when He comes down from heaven clothed in power and glory.
We have now more than twenty five thousand names and addresses in Israel of those who have written in for Bibles with both testaments and for New Testaments. How wonderful to see this work going on today, and still more wonderful to have a part in it. It is in this way and the only way to inform Israel of their real Messiah, who He is when He soon descends from heaven.

The text reads, “One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth THE day regardeth it to the Lord, and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it.”

The subject being discussed here is the wrong of judging one another. Verse 4 also simply stating a plain fact of conditions existing then, just as they do now, some men esteeming one day above another while others esteem everyday alike. That language applies to our time just as it did in the days of the apostles. Notice carefully this text. It does not say, “One man esteemeth a day above another”, but says THE day, meaning a special day, and that special day is the Sabbath. These texts do not teach us that any day is right to observe or that we should keep every day, as many now interpret it, who “Have pleasure in UNRIGHTEOUNESS” and want to continue desecrating “THE DAY”, the only day that has been made holy and sanctified by the Creator.

It is just as true now as it was then, that he that regardeth THE day regardeth it to the Lord. Also those who do not regard a day to the Lord, they do not regard it, but this in no way lessens our responsibility in regarding “The Day” just as we are commanded to regard it.

Yes, we are commanded to pay tithe. One tenth of our earning belongs to the Lord and should be placed in His work. This tithe is holy unto the Lord (Lev. 27:30) and represents that part of our life that must be spent in His ministry doing His work. Every believer should diligently pay his or her tithe. It is not only right and commanded of us but is also wise and good business. In Malachi 3:10 we are promised that if we pay our tithes, the Lord will open the windows of Heaven and pour out such a blessing upon us that there shall not be room to receive it. The paying of tithes is an ancient commandment. In Genesis 14:20, we have mention of Abraham paying tithe, and in Genesis 28:22 we have the words of Jacob when he made a vow to the Lord, saying: ”And of all that Thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto Thee.” The tithes are to be used in doing the work of the Lord and to support the workers in His vineyard. ― 1 Cor. 9:13, 14.
As to where you should pay your tithes, that is a matter for each individual to decide; according to his conscience and the leading of the Lord. It should be payed where it is needed, not forgetting the needs of your local church. It must be placed where it will be used diligently and will do the most good. If at present you have no place to pay your tithes to where you feel they would be used right, do not use this as a reason for not paying tithes; that would be robbing God, which is a very serious matter (see Malachi 3:8, 9). Instead, faithfully set your tithe aside and save it, and pray about it, and the Lord will lead you to know where it should be placed. You will be blessed for it.
If the Lord should lay it upon your heart to send your tithes or offerings here to be used in the Jerusalem work, they will be much appreciated and will be put to good use in your place, in His work, for His glory. In these closing days, there is not another field in all the world so needy or fertile as this one. “But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow into it. And many nations shall come, and say: “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob, and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” ― Micah 4: 1-2.

It was the system of calculation authorized by the Jews that the apostle followed for calculating the day of the first Pentecost after the resurrection. (Acts 1st and 2nd chapters). In Acts 2:1 it says:
“When the days of Pentecost was fully come,” the Holy Spirit fell. Here we have this calculation confirmed by the falling of the Holy Spirit. Then 24 years later Paul was following the Jewish system of calculation. ― Acts 20:16, also see I Cor. 16:8.

As the apostle Paul has answered this question, it is not for me to, make any comments. I will give his answer which is far superior to my own. Here it is, Romans 11:1: “Hath God cast away His people which He foreknew?” Here is his answer: “God forbid … God hath not cast away His people which He foreknew.” ― Romans 1:2. Written 60 A.D.

Paul is here speaking of the “Administration of Death,” as he calls it which was written and engraven upon stones. Joshua 8:31, 32. This was the “Law of Moses” wherein they stoned offenders to death. This law it says was written upon twelve stones. It was the sacrificial, animal killing law, called by Paul the Administration of death. Death to hundreds of thousands of innocent sheep and lambs, their blood atoning for sin. It says Moses had a vail over his face symbolizing the vail of darkness that was to come over Israel, for it says they could not see what was abolished, but in Paul’s day continued killing these innocent animals in the morning and evening sacrifices here at Jerusalem. ― Hebrews 10th chapter.
Paul also tells us in Colossians 2:14 to 16 that this same law written and engraven on these 12 stones was abolished or nailed to the cross. He plainly tells us what law it was, for he says: “It was against the apostles, and contrary to them.” Thus it was not the holy Ten Commandments written by the finger of God, which He declared were to remain for a thousand generations, and forever. ― Deut. 7:9, and Psalms 111:8 to 10, Exodus 31: 15 to 18. The Ten Commandments are not against or contrary to any born again person, baptized with the Holy Spirit. Paul and the apostleswere in harmony with this righteous law; andit was not contrary to them, but the “Law Moses” which Moses wrote in a book, and later was written on the stones of the altar, was sure against them for they had accepted the offering of the “Lamb of God” on Calvary, and His shed blood.
Keeping the letter of the law, means fleshly observing the Ten Commandments, void of the Spirit, killeth, but the Spirit gives one life and joy, victory and power, to live a righteous life, in harmony with every one of the Ten Commandments, for being charged and filled with the Spirit we by nature bear the fruit of the Spirit, and are therefore in perfect harmony with every one of the Ten Commandments. James says if we break one we are guilty of all. ― James 2:10, 11.
Israel had the Ten Commandments before they reached Sinai, and they got a scolding from Moses for breaking them. ― Exodus 16: 4 to 8, and then read verses 25 to 28. This was the same law, and same commandments that Abraham kept hundreds of years before. ― Genesis 26:5. It was these Ten Commandments that Israel broke when they made the golden calf to worship while Moses was on Sinai, and three thousand were slain. They were trying to keep this Holy Law without the Spirit, and it resulted in physical death to three thousand. ― Exodus 32:28. The answer to this, however, is found in Acts 2nd chapter where through the presence and baptism of the Holy Spirit three thousand were baptized and saved. Yes, the“Letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life” ― and finally everlasting life.
Praise be unto Him who has made such wonderful provisions for creatures like us.

The Sabbath is not the Jewish Sabbath, and not called such in scripture. The Creator calls it, “My Holy Day” ― Isaiah 58:13, and in the 4th commandment it says the 7th day isthe Sabbath of the “Lord Thy God. ― Ex. 20:8 to 11. The Jews kept it for the Lord’s Work because they were His people, and Hispeople will keep it for Him now when they understand. In Acts 20:7 it says the apostles came together “to break bread” on the first day of the week and there were many lights in the upper chambers. Therefore this wasa night meeting on the dark part of the first dav, after the sun had set on the Sabbath. The only part of the first day when there is lights on, is the beginning of the day, for the Bible day begins at sunset as everyone knows that reads their Bible. They came together, it says, “To Break Bread.” This was a common meal still practiced here by the Jews. After the Sabbath they come together for a full meal, for they never cook on the Sabbath.
Note Acts 2:46 that “Breaking bread” was the eating of a common meal. They still break the bread here instead of cutting it. This is a common practice. If the ones asking these questions really want the truth, and I am sure they do, they should make a careful study of this chapter. They will see that the apostles rested on the Sabbath here at Troas. When the sun was set the ministers with Paul set sail around the cape to Asos, and it took them all night. Paul stayed with the Troas church and preachedall night, as it was his farewell meeting with them. Then he walked nineteen miles across the land to Asos where he boarded the ship and wenton withthe other ministers. These ministers are also named in this chapter.
Ministers by the hundreds of thousands and laymen are everywhere using this scripture and people are deceived and misled. The motive back of it with many is to avoid the keeping of what they erroneously call the Jewish Sabbath.

This report was written in hand, writing by scribes, and in the Latin language. There was not such a thing as printing in those days, and everything written was very bulky. There are many other ancient records also in these volumes.

We read there are gods many and lords many (1 Cor. 8:5). These words are titles, like the word “father”, but they are not names any more than the word “father” is the name of your father. The Creator and His Son have real names, as this text implies, but they do not have several hundred names applied to each one, as the hundreds of different languages supply. Their names are evidently found in the ancient Hebrew language. Owing to the confusion that now exists over the spelling and pronunciation of their Hebrew names it is well for us to prayerfully study the matter, for Isaiah tells us that when Jerusalem is restored the true people will know the Creator’s name. ― Isa. 52:6-9.

The 30-day month is established by the period of the flood. See Genesis 8:3, where the flood prevailed 150 days. Then note Gen. 7:11, compared with Gen. 8:3, 4, where it was just five months from the time the flood began until it ended. Five months with 30 days to the month makes exactly 150 days. This is also confirmed by ancient history. With twelve months in the common year, it makes 1,260 days.
We know that the “time, times and a half” make exactly 1,260 days from Revelation 12:14 where it says the woman or church, was driven into the wilderness, for a “time, times and a half a time”. Then in verse 6 of this same chapter it tells us how long this period was in days, one thousand two hundred and three score days. One score is 20 and three scores is 60. Hence we have the -exact period of 1,260 days.
Also in Daniel 4th chapter, the length of the Babylonian king’s insanity was seven times, which was seven years, according to both Bible and History.

Yes, this happened just after the Editor was here the first time, during an earthquake tremor. The highway on Mt. Olives was also cracked across but it was repaired. The rock down the mount on each side are still cracked. This is evidently another of the many warnings to the world, that our Messiah and Saviour is soon again to stand on this mountain. ― Zech. 14: 3,

There are 12 passages of scriptures in the English New Testament that gives the name for the church “The Church of God.” In all languages it means the same, but of course the words are different. The people in the church at that time were not all righteous much the same as now. There was a Judas among the 12 apostles, and we read of Paul being in peril by false brethren.
The church was also divided then into different groups following different leaders, for we read: “Now this I say that every one of you saith, I am of Paul, and I am of Apollos, and I am of Cephas, and I am of Christ.” ― I Cor. 1: 12.
He says further: “While one saith I am of Paul, another I am of Apollos: are ye not carnal? Who then is Paul and who is Apollos but ministers by whom ye believe. I have planted and Apollos watereth, but God giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are ONE… For we are all labourers together with God. Ye are God’s husbandry: ye are God’s building.” ― 1 Cor. 3: 4 – 9. The creed of this church was “The commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus (Hebrew Yahshua). ― Rev. 12:17.And in this chapter, it is symbolized by a woman clothed with the sunlight of heaven’s glory and truth, but fleeing into the wilderness from a serpent beast, which represented Pagan Rome, the devil incarnate. She is fed in thiswilderness for 1260 days or years ( verses 6, and 14), and history tells us that during this time there were various leaders and many groups scattered from Northern Turkey to Italy, but still it was the one Remnant people having the truth and chosen of heaven.
The church is just the same way today, only much more scattered, with greater distances between them. The doctrine and manner of life is very much the same, with the same foundation and creed. During the past eight years, issuing this magazine from Jerusalem we have found many groups of true believers, having the same creed (Rev. 12: 17), and the same name as the different groups in America. We are contacting others constantly. Just before going to press with this issue we have heard from another one in England, established fifty years ago, and they are in contact with others. Besides in England, there are groups of this faith publishing a paper in Germany, another in France. The “Holy Spirit Times” is a 24 page publication in the Chinese language, wherein they claim to have 1,000 congregations in Formosa, Korea, Malaya and Burma, and China. Our Heavenly Father is abundantly able, and He is raising up this people in every country on earth, finishing His work, cutting it short in RIGHTEOUSNESS. Let each reader PRAY FOR WISDOM to so direct his or her steps, to be in line fully with the Father’s will and His work, not judging and condemning others, but giving out the TRUTH, “The Meat In Due Season Message.” WISDOM is what we all need to direct our steps rightly to be profitable servants, and happy in our lot, contented, with food and raiment, while waiting for the kingdom, and traveling the narrow way.
It would indeed be a very narrow view of anyone to believe the particular group of these people with whom he belongs was the one and the only true church. The heavenly Father will select from all of these, the bride of Christ. It is wrong to judge people, and condemn them because they do not in particular hold to the same group they do. Partition walls between them, erected by Satan, should be broken down, and instead of trying to judge them unworthy, just turn that over to the heavenly Father who knoweth the hearts of all men, while we humbly follow the command to ― “Esteem others better than ourselves” (Phil. 2: 3), and pray for the erring ones.

My opinion unless backed up by the holy Scripture, is worthless. What people think about questions of sacred importance is deceptive and misleading. The Bible must give the answer. Romans 2:1, 2 tells us that unto the Jews were committed the oracles of God, and St. John 4:22 says that “Salvation is of the Jews.”
When Israel came out of Egypt nearly six thousand years ago the High Priest had the Father’s name on his miter. The name has also been handed down through various channels. It is absurd for anyone to believe that the mighty Creator of Heaven and earth does not have a name. All who believe and read the Bible fully understand that He has a name.
In Proverbs 30:4 the question is asked: “What is His name, and what is His Son’s name?” Then in Psalms 91:14 it says of the righteous, they will be delivered because they know His name. Isaiah says of this time when the Creator brings again Zion: “My people shall know My Name.”
If the reader of these lines is one of the Father’s children, he will know the Father’s name. In Psalm 68:4 it is abbreviated and given as “Jah”, pronounced something like the word “Jehovah”, but like “Yah”, with the adding three letters in the word “Jehovah”.
Everyone knows that the words “God” and “Lord” are not names any more than the words “Father” and “Son” are names. Reader, your father has a name, and your son has a name, and the words father and son, are not their names. Neither are the words God and Lord the names of the Heavenly Father and His Son.
When Bibles were translated from the Hebrew and the Greek into the various languages, the translator would not use a Hebrew word. Should he have done so his Bible would not have been accepted by the people of that tongue, because of world’s hate of the Jews. The Roman Empire ruling the world during that period was at war with Jerusalem and the Jews. ― Acts 18: 2.
The name of the Father, which all should know, is HOLY. It should not be used promiscuously, and written and printed profusely. The Jews never speak it only in prayers, and once a year in the synagogue. They never put it on paper for fear it will be desecrated, by use in toilets, etc. We admire them for this careful preservation of something very holy. It sure is not a sin for anyone to study and want to learn the names for the Father and the Son. Neither is it a sin or wrong for people to use the Son’s name which is “Yahshua”, and means Salvation in the Hebrew language. It is a sin, however, to strive and argue, and divide over these names. Paul commands us to preach and teach “doctrine” and in the same verse he commands us to be “long suffering” ― 2 Tim. 4:2.
If some want to use the Son’s name let them use it. It is good to use it. If others use the English substitute “Jesus” or “Christ”, by which use everyone knows who we are speaking of, let them use it without condemnation, or passing judgment. People in general would not know who we were speaking of, if we just used the Son’s real name, without explaining it. The Son’s name as known by his mother and his playmates around Nazareth was “Yahshua” meaning in the Hebrew “Salvation”, for which purpose He came. He told Paul His name was “Yahshua” when He spoke to Paul from heaven, because it says He spoke in the Hebrew tongue. ― Acts 26:14.
More than 500 different languages have given this some other word besides that which the Saviour spoke, for He spoke Hebrew. Yahshua is the name in Hebrew, as all who know the Hebrew language will tell you, and it has always been the same in the Hebrew.
Our Saviour never called His Father by His name, but spoke of Him more respectfully, calling Him “Father”. If we are His children thenHe is our Father, and we should also show Him proper love and respect by calling Him “Father”. I am sure that none of those who read this would speak to, or of their own father in the disrespectful manner of calling Him by His name.

There are some law-breakers in Israel, and they have a general prison, but there is less violence and crime here than in any other country of its size, I am sure. There are no gangsters running loose. The religious Orthodox cause some trouble in Jerusalem occasionally in their efforts for a more strict observance of the Sabbath. There are also Labour Unions here, but people who do not want to join a Union are not forced to do so.

The time of Jacob’s trouble definitely commenced with “World War No. One” in Russia, followed by the horrible pogroms and massacres in Poland. Men, women and children were slaughtered by the thousands in both Russia and Poland. Then the “Holocaust” in Germany, the massacre and destruction of six million Jews, was the second during World War No. 2. Surely this period since peace has been taken from the earth, has been a serious time for Jacob. His descendants are the ones who have suffered by massacre and repeated threats of extermination. World War No. One was the beginning of what is known in the scriptures as the “Consummation,” that is the consuming of Gentile nations by repeated wars, as we approach “The End of Gentile Times.”― Luke 21:24 and Romans 11:25.
The “Consummation” was pre-announced to begin 1914 by both Moses and Daniel. My father had this figured out and written in his old Bible he gave to me the year 1902 before his death.
We have been passing through the “Timeof Jacob’s Trouble”since, and it has surelybeen a terrible period for the Jews. All of them here are grieved and stunned by these terrible Pogroms of Massacre of their loved ones.They will have further distress in all the nations, especially in the U.S.A. We believe you refer to the “City of Petra,” about 100 miles southeast of Jerusalem, a small city, built into the rock, a natural fortress of ancient time. It is all vacated now, however, being surrounded by desert, located in the Arab country of Jordan.
